Summer Reading – Litigators by John Grisham

Song of the day: Footsteps by Pop Evil

Drink of the day: Hazelnut coffee

Snack of the day: water

Setting of the day: my chaise lounge chair in front of the bay window on a rainy Wednesday

I’ve always been a fan of John Grisham. I don’t remember reading a book he wrote that I didn’t like. Since first reading The Rainmaker, I appreciated his style, his content, and his plot lines.

I’m hoping this pre-vacation read will prep me for a much needed holiday away from home.

Summer Reading – Off Season by Anne Rivers Siddons

Standard

Song of the day: Hello by Adele

Drink of the day: homemade mint water

Snack of the day: fresh cherries

Setting of the day: a friends backyard on a hot, sunny day

Yes, I’m one of those multi-tasking people who listens to music while I read. And I’m always prepared for some relaxation with my drinks and snacks so I don’t have to interrupt my reading by getting up and heading into the kitchen. I love curling up with a book rain or shine. So here’s my update so far…

I’m about halfway through Off Season by Anne Rivers Siddons and I’m thoroughly enjoying this book. I love how she uses the setting as another character. I’ve read a previous book by Anne Rivers Siddons and it quickly became one of my favourite books, so I have high hopes for this book. So far she has delivered. And I’m excited to see how this turns out.
